And meanwhile on the Spanish language networks

While the blanquitos are debating the prez's speech, Univision and Telemundo wuickly went back to broadcasting their novelas, porque heaven forbid that abuela misses lo que paso.

Ugh, that's been my biggest complaint about the "Spanish Channels", that they care too much about the frivolous stuff and then our fellow citizens wonder why spanish-speakers haven't a clue as to what is going on in politics.

Even though English stations offer politics and non-stop weather reports during a storm we have the option of watching or not [save, 9-11-01, of course]. I think that option makes a big difference, even if the gringos choose to change the channel. :-\
