Ugh, that's been my biggest complaint about the "Spanish Channels", that they care too much about the frivolous stuff and then our fellow citizens wonder why spanish-speakers haven't a clue as to what is going on in politics.
Even though English stations offer politics and non-stop weather reports during a storm we have the option of watching or not [save, 9-11-01, of course]. I think that option makes a big difference, even if the gringos choose to change the channel. :-\
